President Bola Tinubu called upon Nigeria’s business leaders to unite forces with the government in a collective effort to rejuvenate the country's economy.

Speaking passionately on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the 29th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES) held in the heart of the nation’s capital, Abuja, President Tinubu stated the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector.

Drawing upon his successful tenure as the governor of Lagos State, he stressed the vital role of public-private partnerships in transforming Lagos and expressed his determination to replicate these achievements nationwide.

“We must work together. I have proven capacity in this regard, as we remember the role of public-private partnerships in the transformation of Lagos State under my leadership. We will replicate that across Nigeria with your unwavering support,” President Tinubu declared.

Addressing the private sector directly, the President urged business leaders to contribute their ideas, leadership, capital, and collective will.

He noted the urgent need for renewed hope and unity, challenging them with a rhetorical question, “Today, I urge you, as Nigeria’s foremost private sector think tank and policy advocacy group, to go much further than you have done before. Let us build a future of renewed hope. My government is prepared. Are you also prepared?
