Bogoro noted that Taraba state is one of the states benefitting the most from Fund's intervention, adding that none of the tertiary institutions in the state has so far been neglected.

He advised the governor to spend the money he would have spent at the tertiary level to improve the basic levels.

“We will be happy that courtesy of our intervention in tertiary education, you will be able to save money for basic education – primary and secondary," Bogoro said.

“There are larger numbers of beneficiaries at that level; if you succeed in doing this, we would have seen ourselves as veritable partners in the rescue train in Taraba.’’

Ishaku thanked TETFund for its interventions in the state, adding that state needs more teachers.

“We need more trained teachers and we are here to solicit TETFund’s intervention in that regard.

“I will want TETFund to concentrate more on teacher education because we lack teachers and we are backward educationally.

“So, if TETFund can do more on our College of Education, it will give us more qualitative teachers.’’

The governor said he is committed to improving the state's education fortunes.
