Covenant University embraces benefits of technology

Called "EduSocial", the e-learning technology operates an online platform showcasing all educational information required by the students, inclusive of the tutorials, courses of study and library materials.

Covenant University has launched a mobile learning technology to harness social media for learning among its students.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Charles Ayo, said the product, launched as a tablet, was created to enhance learning, off and on campus.

“We have introduced Information Communication Technology (ICT) facilities since inception, but later discovered that students sometimes do things that have nothing to do with their educational career, then, we decided to use the platform of social media for learning,” he said.

Ayo added that the institution has distributed about 7,500 gadgets to its students

gathered that Edusocial also allows interaction between the students, lecturers and the University community.
