A 29-year-old Nigerian student has been sentenced to death by hanging by Malaysian High Court for drug trafficking.

Luke Nnaemeka Ugwu, a student at a private college in Malaysia was found guilty of guilty of trafficking 725.4 gm of methamphetamine in 2012.
Justice Datuk Abdul Alim Abdullah of the High Court Shah Alam dismissed Ugwu's defence as mere denial and sentenced him to death by hanging by on Friday.
gathered that Ugwu committed the offence at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport arrival hall in Sepang at 9.45 pm on May 15, 2012, Malaysian National News Agency reports.
Ugwu was defended by Hasnan Hamzah.
