Chelsea star receives his NFF Player of the Year award in London

Moses received the award from Dikko who visited the player at Chelsea’s Cobham Training Centre.

Club duties kept Moses away from the NFF Awardson Monday, February 19 at the Eko Hotel and Suite where he was named Player of the Year.

It was NFF second Vice President Shehu Dikko who received the award on his behalf that night.

Moses has now received the award from Dikko who visited the player at Chelsea’s Cobham Training Centre.

“I am simply over the moon with this award. It means that the country and the people really appreciate the little we are doing for the National Team,” Moses is quoted to say by on the NFF website.

“I am looking forward to doing much more for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.”

Premier League winner

Moses won the award on the back of winning the 2017 Premier League title with Chelsea. He was an influential part of Antonio Conte’s team that won the title with 22 consecutive league starts, 28 starts and 33 league appearances in total.

He is the Nigerian player with the most Premier League appearances for a title-winning team ever.

The Super Eagles star also played a pivotal part in Nigeria’s successful 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. Nigeria qualified from a tough group with one game to play.
