Chelsea have agreed a season-long loan deal with Monaco for Colombian striker Radamel Falcao.
Falcoa spent last season at Manchester United but was sent back to his parent club, Monaco after an underwhelming year with the 20-time English Premier League champions.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho signified his interest in the former Atletico Madrid striker after it was revealed that he would love to remain in England and take a pay cut.
"It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United," Mourinho said in an interview about the striker.
"He played in Spain and Portugal and I know him very well because I was in Portugal and Spain. In Spain we were together when he was at Atletico and I was at Real and I know him very, very well... he is a great player."
It seems Mourinho might have gotten his hands on the striker after Sky Sports sources revealed that he Colombian according to Chelsea have agreed a deal with Monaco to sign Falcao on a season-long deal.
Falcao made his name in Europe with Mourinho's former club Porto, where he 41 goals in the Portuguese Primera and 21 in 21 appearances in Europe.
He moved to Atletico Madrid for £35million in 2011 where he continued to be prolific, scoring 70 goals in 90 appearances in all competitions.
The striker signed for Monaco in 2013 for £52m but played just 22 times after a series of injuries.
Falcao is currently on national duties with Colombia at the Copa America.
He has scored 25 goals in 52 appearances for the South American nation.
