Liverpool have signed Charlton defender Joe Gomez on a long term deal.
The young defender's signing will be completed las he is set to undergo a medical on Friday, June 19.
Liverpool triggered a release clause in the Charlton Athletic defender’s contract, with an initial £3.5m which will likely rise to £6m on appearances.
The Reds reportedly beat off competition from the likes of Aston Villa and Bournemouth for the 18- year-old defender.
This will be Liverpool's fourth signing of the summer after securing the likes of James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan.
Liverpool are also favourite to sign Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne.
