Jose Mourinho has guided AS Roma to their first European title after the Italians defeated Feyenoord in the final of the Europa Conference League.

Nicolo Zaniolo was the hero of the day after scoring the decisive goal in the victory at the Air Albania Stadium in Tirana on Wednesday night.

Feyenoord dominated most of the possession in a cagey affair between two of the competition's top scorers but failed to make any of that count for 90 minutes.

While Roma created the best chances in the game, Feyenoord did provide some nervy moments for Roma, with Tyrell Malacia testing Rui Patricio with a ferocious effort five minutes into the second half, and Nigeria's Cyriel Dessers, who who was denied by a clear chance on goal by a superb block from Chris Smalling.
