Police Arrest 26 Murder Suspects

The police in Lagos have confirmed the arrest of 26 suspects in connection with the death of one Sikiru Ogboye.

The 25-year-old victim was reportedly supervising the collection of Voters Card in the Ibeju-Lekki area of the state on November 9 when he was killed.

The Public Relations Officer for the state, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said:

“Ogboye was killed in a suspected clash between supporters of different political parties. One pump action gun and a live cartridge were recovered.”

Ogboye was present at the exercise on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nwosu stated further that investigations are still ongoing into the incident and that further details would be revealed in due time.
