"Fasting on hot days"

The first characteristics he mentioned, was fasting in the intense summer heat.
Ramadan.
Ramadan.

Insha'Allah, today, we are going to discuss about the virtues of fasting in the Summer.

Ibn Rajab commented on the virtue of fasting in the heat, in his book, Lata'if Al-Ma'arif.

He mentioned saying, from the act of worship whose reward is multiplied during the heat, is fasting. This is because of the thirst that one experiences, in the mid-day heat.

This is why Muadh bin Jabal expressed regret on his death bed, saying he would no longer experience this mid-day thirst, as did other early Muslims.

It was also narrated that Abubakr Siddique would fast in the summer, and not fast in the winter.

Umar advised his son Abdullah, on his death bed, to try to obtain the characteristics of faith.
