The pay slips, which were released on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 by Dogara's spokesperson, Turaki Hassan, revealed the speaker's pay between October 2016 and March 2017.

Gov Nasir El-Rufai had called on the NASS leadershipto disclose the details of the National Assembly budget, and the salaries and allowances of its leadership.

And barely 24 hours after the call made by Gov El-Rufai, Dogara released his last six months' pay slips.

Gov El-Rufai, had earlier published the breakdown of his security voteamong other items and called on principal officers of the national assembly to follow suit.
