Abby Hensel, an American teacher who shares a body with her sister Brittany, has quietly gotten married.

Her chosen one is Josh Bowling, a nurse and military veteran. They said the sacramental "yes" to each other in 2021, away from prying eyes.

As the Today programme found out, the 34-year-old did not need to boast about her happiness and began a new stage of her life in the company of her closest people.

She and Brittany rose to fame after the TLC show aired, where they showed off their ordinary-to-extraordinary everyday lives, including graduating high school and looking for a job.

Abby and Brittany Hensel - what happened to the world's most famous Siamese twins?

The women share a common body. From the waist down, all their organs, including the intestines, bladder and reproductive organs, are shared. There is only one pair of twins living with the same condition in the world, namely brothers Ayşe and Sema Tanrıkulu, who were born in Turkey in 2000.

Abby's relationship with Josh, who is the father of an only child, has remained a mystery until now, just like the twins' lives over the past decade. Now they are slowly coming out of the shadow thanks to their TikTok and Facebook accounts, where you can see photos from the wedding ceremony from three years ago.

It is known that the Hensels work as fifth-grade teachers and live in Minnesota, where they were raised. They first delighted the world in 1996, appearing on Oprah Winfrey and on the cover of Life magazine. Growing up, the twins played sports such as volleyball, biking, softball, and swimming.
