Suit filed against the striking doctors by Listowell Kusi Poku, the General Secretary of the United Front Party, has been withdrawn.
This was made known when Mr. Poku’s Counsel, Mr Oliver Abada told the court that he had filed a notice of the withdrawal because one of the reliefs his clients was seeking had been met.
The Plaintiff in a writ filed at the court in August this year among others prayed the court to compel the doctors who were then on strike to go back to work
According to Mr Marfo, the plaintiff was pursuing a political agenda and not in the interest of the public
Mr Abada however disagreed with Mr Marfo saying the plaintiff brought the writ for the sake of public interest.
The GMA went on a three week strike over stalled negotiations on their conditions of service.
They however called off the strike last week Friday.
