Flippy Campus from Ghana and Shield Finance from Kenya were the other two teams that have already cemented their place on the DEMO Africa stage.

RoadRules is a provisional driver’s license test app. It emerged the most outstanding product from among the seven startups that pitched at the DEMO Africa pre-pitch event hosted in collaboration with Hypercube hub in Harare.

The selection panel included key industry players such as DEMO Africa’s Event Director, Mbugua Njihia, Jabu Mpofu, Samuelle Dimairho and Munya Chiura.

Sources say with this win, RoadRules, Shield Finance and Flippy Campus will pitch during the main Demo Africa event in Lagos with accommodation and ticket fully catered for.

Speaking on the success of RoadRules, Chikosi Tawanda, the founder and CEO, said that he is excited about having a chance to pitch on the DEMO Africa platform. “I believe that getting a chance to pitch on the DEMO Africa stage will expose our company to opportunities that we initially just dreamed of.”

Njihia congratulated the winner on the quality of technology products that are emerging across Africa. “We have been to Nairobi, Accra and now Harare. The level of creativity witnessed is amazing. I am now sure that Africa is able to produce world class products that can be easily scaled.”
