Reports suggest that a clean installation of Windows 10 is possible after a free upgrade from the Windows 7/8.1 platform.
Head of the Windows Insider Program at Microsoft, Gabriel Aul, has tweeted the confirmation.
The wording of the tweet implies some double-handling for those hoping to perform a clean installation of Windows 10, in that it appears Windows 7/8.1 has to be upgraded to 10 before the clean-installation option becomes valid.
