Last week, Pulse Tech reported that tech giant, HP, had launched the world's thinnest laptop, called the Spectre, which measures just 10.4 millimeters.

I initially reported that there is no release date for the laptop in Nigeria yet, but my sources have confirmed that the laptop will be launched in Nigeria sometime before the end of May.

The laptop was originally launched in Paris on April 7, 2016 to much fanfare about the design and features of the laptop.

The Spectre laptop has a carbon-fibre body, a back-lit keyboard and a glass trackpad that supports 8GB of RAM and two processor variants, an Intel Core i7 or i5.

The laptop has some new age technological features that HP has added to the design such as the new hyperbaric cooling feature.

According to my sources, the laptop should be launched sometime in May here in Nigeria but there is no word yet on pricing and where it will be sold.

The Spectre laptop starts at $1, 170, depending on which processor variant you're getting and it has been touted as a direct competitor to the Apple Macbook and similar devices.

When it launches in Nigeria, be sure to stick with Pulse Tech to keep you updated on everything that has to do with the new Spectre laptop and if we do get a unit to review, be assured that we will bring you all the juicy details.

HP is currently the second largest PC maker in the entire world and it launched its Star Wars: The Force Awakens themed laptops in Nigeria late last year with Chocolate City act Ice Prince as its brand ambassador.
