What Is Vicki Gunvalson's Net Worth? How Much 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Star Makes

Vicki Gunvalson, the self-described "OG of the OC" has been whooping it up on The Real Housewives of Orange County since the reality TV show began wayyyy back in 2006. Over the last 14 years, Vicki has cashed her fair share of reality (TV) checks. And though she did take a pretty major cut with her recent demotion to "friend" on the newest season (rather than staying one of the main Housewives), Vicki's still woo-hooing all the way to the bank.

So...what is Vicki Gunvalson's net worth?

Thanks to her insurance biz, reality TV gigs, and book sales, Vicki is worth a cool $7 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth . (Worth noting: This figured was determined when Vicki Gunvalson's salary per season was $500,000. Her salary then increased until this most recent season.)

Here's exactly how Vicki makes her moola:

She owns her own business, Coto Financial.

Vicki's insurance career began in 1991, and she was still working out of her home (which, okay, is a 6,000-square-foot mansion in Coto de Caza) when RHOC began. Once the reality show became popular, an insurance veteran tracked Vicki down after watching an episode, according to an interview Vicki did with ThinkAdvisor in 2015.

"Thats when I started doing seminars," she told the publication. Vicki booked two to four educational seminars each month advising retirement-age people on insurance in 2015. At the time, she had 6,000-plus clients, and her annuity business made more than $15 million. Vicki came into 2016 with the goal of making $20 million.

Now, Coto Financial doesn't just sell life insurance, but also provides wealth management, retirement planning, tax planning, risk management and insurance, corporate and executive solutions, and business consulting, according to its website. Though more recent profit estimates are unavailable, it's likely Vicki's company is still making tens of mils of dolla dolla bills.

Vicki made more than $1 million per RHOC season, well, until recently.

The once-reigning Queen Bee of the OC pulled in $60,000 per episode, a source told Radar Online , making her total RHOC salary approximately $1.26 million per season. ( Bethenny Frankel who?) However, with Vickis recent demotion to friend, shell now only be making $20,000 per ep, according to an insider.

Thats not the only thing slowing down her cash flow. Vicki likely wont be in all of the episodes this season, the insider said. And, even if she did appear in all 21, Vicki would only make $420,000 this seasonless than half of her former salary.

Despite her pay cut, Vicki still makes more than many new Housewives.

While shes no longer at the top of Bravos payroll, its not all bad in Vickiville. According to Radar Onlines source, a new Housewife begs for $5,000 an episode, so for Vicki to be getting that much, she is very lucky.

The exception? Denise Richards, who reportedly makes $1 million per season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , though her rep denied that her salary was that high.

Vicki also wrote three booksone of which was a best-seller.

Can you say media mogul? Well, Vicki certainly can. Besides taking over reality TV for more than a decade, Vicki dominated the world of print publishing with three books: More Than a Housewife , Internet Life Insurance Selling Made Easy (unavailable to purchase online), and her latest work with coauthor Dennis M. Postema, Let's Talk Money: Women's Guide to a Lifetime of Wealth .

Though the sales numbers for each book aren't publicly available, Vicki definitely raked in some dough from readers with her last book, Let's Talk Money, after it quickly became an online best-seller. "Woo Hoo!!! We just hit #1 on Amazon!! SUPER thanks to all of our friends and supporters for helping us make this happen. We're also #1 on 'hot new releases' and #1 on 'most wished for' in our categories," she wrote on Facebook in 2014, according to Bravo . "I'm truly overjoyed and this wouldn't have been possible without your support and the great team we have, who tirelessly helped push this book to the top. ?#?WooHoo?."

She might make a lot more money from a lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers.

This year brought a lot of cha-ching changes to Vicki's life. Besides her Bravo demotion, she's also got some pretty hefty litigation in the works. According to legal documents obtained by E! News and filed in Clark County, Nevada, on April 11, Vicki filed a lawsuit against her ex Brooks Ayers for breach of written agreement, breach of verbal agreement, fraud, misrepresentation, and other claims over money he allegedly failed to pay back to her.

So...how much money does Ayers allegedly owe Vicki? A cool $184,899, which she loaned him in 2011, according to court documents. (Yiiiiikes.) The reality star alleged that Ayers also failed to adhere to a written agreement they made in 2016, in which he was supposed to provide an accounting of his income.

As if that weren't dicey enough, Vicki further alleged Ayers owes her another $81,652 that she loaned him for attorneys' fees between 2013 and 2015. Her lawsuit also said that Vicki has suffered damages in excess of $15,000 and now has to pay accountants, auditors, collection agents, attorneys, and court costs to get her money back, E! News reported.

Vicki's lawsuit further stated that Ayers committed fraud because he "intentionally represented to Plaintiff that he would promptly repay the funds borrowed from Plaintiff, when in fact, Defendant had no intention of ever repaying either of the loans."

As for what Vicki wants to get out of legal dispute, she's seeking an accounting of Ayers' finances, as well as a sum of more than $15,000 to be determined at trial, "reasonable" attorneys' fees, costs incurred or to be incurred, interest, and punitive and exemplary damages, according to E! News.

Whether or not Vicki wins her court case will likely have a pretty big impact on her future net worth. In the meantime, though, she's still pretty flush.
