During Missy Elliot's Video Vanguard performance at the 2019 MTV VMAs, a young woman in a yellow tracksuit suddenly took over the stage with an intense breakdancing routine. That woman was Alyson Stoner, and she not only popped, locked, and dropped it, but did pretty much everything else a human body can do. (Seriously, that floor segment? How?!)

And it's not the first time Alyson has danced for Missy Elliot, either. She was first a featured dancer in Missy's #iconic music video for "Work It" in 2002. (Peep baby Alyson in the pigtails and all-pink shorts tracksuit at 2:30.)
Then, Alyson took a semi-break from dancing to act in Cheaper by the Dozen in 2003 and then Cheaper by the Dozen 2 in 2005. Alyson returned to her dancing roots a year later though in 2006 in Step Up, with Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum .
Nearly ten years, she really returned to her roots with a tribute video to Missy Elliot in 2015. Though her tracksuit color changed to a bright red, her dance moves were as on point as ever. She led a whole group in hard-hitting moves that were somehow perfectly in sync.
While Alyson has traded her pigtails for a close-cropped pixie cut and her tracksuits colors have evolved over time, her dancing has always been Next. Level. And her latest jaw-dropping routine just proves that more than ever.
Congrats, Missy and Alyson on another amazing dance performance together!
