Actress Salma Hayek Pinault's skin looked gorgeous and glowy in a no-makeup selfie snapped over the weekend. She captioned the picturetaken against a leafy green backdrop outsidewith just a few hashtags, "#selfiesunday #nofilter #nature."
The 53-year-old goes makeup-free quite often and credits her flawless skin to just a few products, none of which are injectables.
"I still have not done any Botox, fillers, or peels. Nothing. Sometimes I think I should do something, but I don't know what...I wear makeup sometimes but not to take my kid to school," she told Harper's Bazaar .
Salma has previously opened up about all the products she uses to keep her skin so smooth. For starters, she skips washing her face in the a.m. "I never cleanse my skin in the morning. My grandmother taught me that at night, your skin replenishes all the things you lost during the day. Also, if I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up?" Salma told The New York Times .
However, she's a big fan of rose water to start her day. "I dot on some rose water, then moisturizer, and I never use sunblock unless I'm going in the sun," she told Harper's Bazaar .
She also uses it to remove makeup. "At night, I take off my makeup with coconut oil. Then I use rose water to take off the residuals," she told Allure . "You can use a hot towel with the rose wateryou put a wet towel in the microwaveto do a little steam."
When it comes to moisturizing, Salma likes to use "a mix of serums and oils depending on my skin that day," she told NYT . Her go-to oil was one from her own skincare line, Nuance , which launched in partnership with CVS in 2011. As for serums, she revealed shes a fan of the Biologique Recherche Grand Millsime and Srum Prcieux by Anne Semonin.
And she also exfoliates sparingly. "Exfoliating a lot may make you look good in the short term, but not I think in the long term," Salma told NYT .
