The life of a Kardashian is always filled with drama. And not always the good kind.
In the most recent trailer for Season 17 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim is shown at the doctor's office getting X-rays and testing for lupus.
I feel this in my bones. I probably have lupus, she says in the trailer.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease. And a diagnosis can mean a lifelong battle. There is extended remission where, for all intents and purposes, we might think weve cured the disease in some individuals, but there is no cure, Jill Buyon , MD, previously told Women's Health.
As Kim wipes her teary eyes, momager Kris Jenner tells her daughter, "Let's stay positive until we get some results."
Symptoms of lupus can include facial rashes, joint pain, shortness of breath or chest pain, kidney problems, neurological issues, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and anemia. Singer Selena Gomez has been open about her own kidney issues related to lupus , which caused her to undergo a kidney transplant in 2017.
This isn't Kim's first health scare. She also suffers from psoriasis and experienced pre-eclampsia and placenta accreta during her first two pregnancies, which led her to have her third and fourth children via surrogate.
Hopefully, lupus is one less thing Kim will have to worry about. Fingers crossed!
