"We really love each other, please root on us" Singer urges fans over broken engagement

Yesterday, news broke that the engagement between singer/actress Lady Gaga and actor, Taylor Kinney was over.

However, it would appear that the "Bad Romance" singer will not be moving on anytime soon as she has urged fans to root on she and Taylor.

In an Instagram post, Lady Gaga while acknowledging the broken engagement revealed that the couple still love each other but "had ups and downs just like all other couples"

She further revealed they were taking a break as they are "both ambitious artistes hoping to work through long distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared"

Before calling it quits, the couple had dated for 5 years and got engaged last Valentine's day.

Lady Gaga, in recent weeks had been spotted without her heart-shaped diamond engagement ring, including a recent sighting of her in Palm Beach on Taylor's 35th birthday.

Here's hoping the couple can resolve things.
