While the couple's beautiful wedding Fatiha held at the Emir's palace in Kano on Friday, March 16 2018, there was a ceremony that seemed to have happened earlier but didn't get any attention.
After Fatima had a sparkly bridal shower on the Wednesday leading up to her big day, she and her friends got together for one more fun gathering before she and her boo had their Fatima on the following day.

This is one of the oldest events in the Hausa wedding ceremony. “Kamu” means catch the bride.
The groom’s family comes and negotiates with the bride’s friends for her release to them. They have come for their bride and they are wiling to pay any price to have her.
This is a really fun event and negotiation may take up to 30 minutes followed by a fun reception.
