One woman on the internet shared her hack that makes peeling garlic super simple .
As someone who makes a lot of Korean food, this is the best method for getting garlic peeled, user @VPestilenZ Tweeted with a short video clip.
The video shows someone holding a head of garlic in one hand and a very sharp knife in the other. The pointy end of the knife is used to stab each individual clove. Then, the person appears to push up lightly before pulling out the clove. The garlic seems to easily slip out from the head of garlic.
People on baffled by the simplicity of this method.
"Not sure how I never knew about this. I lament when I consider how much more garlic I could have used during all these years had I only known of this technique," one Tweeter responded.

Some people even tried the method and Tweeted their results in response:
Not bad for 30 seconds of time. I had a small bulb of garlic. The bigger pieces were easier to pull out. pic.twitter.com/4Y1AL2Cxei - Kalpana Dave (@KalpanaDave1) June 17, 2019
However, other Twitter users pointed out that this method could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
My husband just said I'm absolutely not allowed to try this method . . . I'm way too accident prone! - Jacqueline Prester (@MrsPrester) June 17, 2019
there's a bigger risk of stabbing yourself this way, so that's cool - Aubrey Scott (@aubreydscott7) June 17, 2019
Still, the hack impressed culinary queen Chrissy Teigen, who responded to the viral Tweet with a simple, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?"

It goes without saying that you'll want to be super careful if you decide to try this method at home. Or you could take the easy way out by purchasing pre-minced garlic. But we'd recommend reading our tutorial on the best way to prep garlic .
