Thankfully, the two have settled their feud
The Rock and Vin Diesel are finally on good terms again after a strange, months-long feud that emerged during the filming of their latest movie, The Fate of the Furious. However, thanks to TMZ, we now know why their flare-up started in the first place.
Per the popular Hollywood gossip site, The Rock and Diesel were arguing about "real estate" during the movie's making, meaning the amount of screen time each actor received in the film. Apparently, The Rock was particularly incensed and felt snubbed about his slightly lesser role, but ultimately ceded that the franchise has been a vehicle for Diesel, first and foremost.
No doubt Vin Diesel feels vindicated by the movie's box office performance; Fate of the Furious ultimately ended up breaking box office records in its opening weekend, and is performing as well as you would hope for the eighth installment of a revered blockbuster series.
According to TMZ, it seems that this movie won't be the last that The Rock and Diesel do together, either. With the days of "candy ass" apparently behind us, The Rock is reportedly "1000% in" for the next adventure. Keep the car running.
