One of the many ways to make eating bread interesting is to grill it with sardine and tomatoes. Cool right?

Sardines are are common names used to refer to various small, oily fish within the herring family of Clupeidae. The oily nature of this fish make it easy and less sticky to the grill. Tomatoes on the other hand,  is a edible vegetable.

INGREDIENTS

1. Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in bowl. Loosen skin on drumsticks. Rub salt and pepper mixture under skin without tearing skin. Cover at room temperature 30 minutes.

2.  Grill drumsticks until skin is crisp and juices run clear, turning to cook all sides, about 25 minutes.

3.  Transfer 1/2 cup barbecue sauce to small bowl; reserve. Brush drumsticks with remaining sauce and cook until glaze forms, about 3 minutes longer.

4.  Transfer drumsticks to platter and serve with reserved sauce

PREPARATIONS

1. Oil grate grill for medium-high. Brush both sides of bread with 2 Tbsp of oil and grill, turning occasionally, until toasted and lightly charred, about 4 minutes. Transfer grilled bread to a plate.

2. Season sardines inside and out with salt and pepper (no need to oil them, as there is so much naturally in their skin). Grill, turning occasionally, until lightly charred and cooked through, 5–7 minutes.

3. Serve sardines with tomato and grilled bread.
