The fifth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference organized by Netng witnessed massive turnout with various speakers talking on different topics all through the day.

The event held at the Landmark event centre, Oniru Lagos yesterday, April 27, 2017.

Speakers at the event include King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, Alibaba, Basketmouth, Opa Williams, Idemudia Dima Okojie, Patrick Doyle, Toyin Aimakhu-Abraham, Dr. Shola Fosudo, Daddy Showkey, Akin Shuga, Adesua Etomi, Woli Arole and many more.

Panel moderators are Dolapo Oni-Sijuade, Shola Thompson and others while NEC Live 2017 was anchored by veteran comedian, Tee A.

Panelists deliberated on topics in relation to the entertainment industry and helped proffer solutions to issues in that context. Speakers talked on How Nigeria’s comedy is saving lives and creating jobs, How Nollywood is reclaiming the market from Hollywood, Why the rest of the world needs African entertainment and more.

Speaking at the conference, Nigerian comedy pioneer, Alibaba said "There’s a very thin line between being funny and being offensive. Value proposition is the only thing that can turn your talents into cash, the Nigerian stand up comedy scene is what is triggering the growth of stand up comedy around Africa right now".

Comedian Basketmouth was also quoted saying, "Talent is the only resource that does not run dry, you can't take your culture to the western world, you can only take your originality. We need to put more structures in place to drive the growth of the Nigerian entertainment industry".
