According to a Crime Reporter, Sunday Odita, Nwosu and one of his customers were made to have a taste of power when four power-drunk soldiers stormed the technology market on the invitation of a man said to be the brother of a serving Lieutenant residing at the Ikeja Cantonment following a disagreement.

It was gathered that Nwosu had sold a keyboard to a customer some time ago but after one month, the aggrieved customer came back keyboard, claiming it was faulty.

The matter was reported at the police post by the market and resolved amicably but unknown to Nwosu, the man was not really satisfied and allegedly invited his military brother who came with three other personnel and brutalized Nwosu and another customer who tried to intervene.

Nwosu said the soldiers brutalized him and his customer and forced them to roll inside dirty water, and also destroyed his shop, computers, and other gadgets.

“Last Saturday, (October 8, 2016) around 3pm, some group of soldiers led by one , a resident of block 22, Ikeja Cantonment, came here to meddle in a civilian matter between my brother and a customer.

The customer felt insulted and decided to invite his soldier brothers who were in mufti to beat us up. It was a keyboard the man bought last month that caused the problem.

The issue was reported at a nearby police post and it was resolved peacefully, even though we felt unfairly treated.

To everyone’s surprise, these men went back only to return with three other soldiers in uniform. The soldiers started beating us."
