Few weeks ago, the Lagos State government passed a law that places a blanket ban on street hawking, a decision that drew serious condemnation from many residents of the state.

Taking into consideration the pains and sufferings the common masses have been subjected to, that decision, for many, went to show that the government is insensitive to the plight of the masses, forgetting that most of these hawkers have families and are bread winners in their own rights.

The fine for hawking or buying things hawked in traffic has been pegged at a whopping N90,000 or three months in jail, or both, as the case may be but it seems some law officers are not part of those who will be seen as offenders as depicted in this photo where officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), parked their patrol vehicle and patronise an 'paraga' (local gin) seller.

So who would be held responsible in this case?
