Rev. TD Jakes Approves Jumping The Broom II

TD Jakes Productions and Our Stories Productions have announced there will be a second Jumping The Broom movie given the huge success the original movie enjoyed.

The original movie had an ensemble starring cast including Laz Alonso, Paula Patton,Loretta Devine, Mike Epps and Angela Bassett.

The film focused on two VERY different families coming together (but not really) for a weekend wedding on Martha’s Vineyard. The second film will be set in New York City when two very different families come together again for a weekend wedding. Will they actually come together or cause another chaos?

After writing the original film, Elizabeth Hunter is again attached to writing the screenplay and producing this second part too. Tracey Edmond and TD Jakes are producing as well while DeVon Franklin is overseeing for Sony Pictures.

However, there are worries if Jumping The Broom director, Salim Akil will return since no words have been sent out on the issue. Secondly, will this movie be connected to the first film and will it maintain its old cast?

Nevertheless, fans can still be happy that a sequel is finally in pre-production.
