25 people were said to have lost their lives as a result of the first attack, which was allegedly targeted at a prominent Islamic cleric, Dahiru Bauchi.
Bauchi, a known critic of Boko Haram, delivered a Ramadan lecture at the popular Murtala Square, which is near the location of the first explosion. The cleric however escaped unhurt.
Bombings have become a common trend with the terrorist group but it is not clear if they are responsible for this latest attack.
