Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Joe Aribo rose to the top of the trends as Rangers suffered a loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League played on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
The first half ended without goals for both sides with very little chances created.
In the second half, Aribo would capitalize on a mistake in defense to give Rangers the lead in the 57th minute.
The lead did not last long as Colombian striker Rafael Borre converted a ball through to him by Filip Kostic to equalize for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 69th minute.

Aribo makes Europa League history but suffers the same fate as Iwobi
The game would proceed to extra time as both teams were unable to find a late winner.
No goals were scored in extra time which meant that the game would be decided on penalties.
Frankfurt would convert all five spot kicks while former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey missed for Rangers.
German Bundesliga side took the title after winning the shoot out 5-4 at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.
Aribo praised for Rangers goal
Super Eagles star Aribo scored in the Europa League final to put Rangers in front. The goal was a huge deal for both Aribo and the club.
The 25-year-old Super Eagles star joined Alex Iwobi as the only Nigerian player to have scored in the final of an European competition.
Aribo played as a false nine, and received a lot of praise for his performance on Twitter.
Ramsey blamed for penalty miss
Former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey also rose to the top of the trends after his penalty miss.
Nigerians descended on Ramsey as his missed penalty cost three Super Eagles stars Aribo, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey an Europa League winners medal.
