Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Cyriel Dessers was once again on target for Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.
The 27-year-old Dessers was on target for Feyenoord Rotterdam as they suffered a 1-2 loss at home to FC Twente in an Eredivisie fixture played on Sunday, May 16, 2022.
Feyenoord boss Arne Slot gave Dessers the start in their final Eredivisie fixture of the season.
Twente started the game well and went in front in the 27th minute when Dimitrios Limnios converted a ball through to him by Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
Ricky van Wolfswinkel also provided the second goal of the game for Gijs Smal in the 37th minute as Twente went to the halftime break with a two goal lead.
In the second half, Feyenoord ramped up the pressure on Twente and were rewarded when Dessers converted a ball through to him by Luis Sinisterra.

Feyenoord could not get an equalizer as they suffered defeat in front of their home fans.
It was the ninth league goal for Dessers who has now scored in back to back games following his brace for Feyenoord against PSV last week.
In the last game of the season, the result means that Feyenoord would finish in third place behind winners Ajax Amsterdam and second placed PSV.
Dessers who now has a total of 21 this season, spoke to ESPN after the game.
He said, "Of course you want to close well for the fans here. They deserve that after the whole season. A little bit of a sour aftertaste now, but okay.
The switch is turned and we are going towards that final. We have ten days for that."
"I think we have shown this season that we have a very broad core.
"If you see, like last week against PSV, but also today what the substitutes bring. I also had to stand there as a substitute and have faith in the boys who will be there in ten days. That will be fine."
Dessers and PSV now continue their preparation for the Europa Conference League final scheduled to take place against Jose Mourinho's AS Roma on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
