Atlanta hitmaker, Michael Williams aka Mike WiLL Made-It continues his “Ransome” mixtape series with the second project. This one is designed as an album, and released as one too. Williams is a big deal, with his productions on some of the biggest Trap records that have rocked the world.

This continues to show why he is a big name. He maintains his distinctive sounds, which are recognizable the world over with the trademark trap, snap and crackle. But there are star-studded cameos from some of the biggest names. Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Future and Pharell Williams all sign up for what is a Trap masterclass interpreted in various ways.

Mike WiLL Made-It has power, he has reach, and he has clout.

But the true glory and edge comes from a crop of powerful names who are wielding influences in the game right now. There’s Migos, Lil Yatchy, YG and Young Thug all throwing their various renditions on Trap beats, backed by an excellent producer.

‘Aries (Yugo)’ is a true surprise here. Pharrell Williams does not fit the mold of artists who regularly collaborate with the producer, but his inclusion makes the project dope. “Aries (Yugo)” represents the polarity of human nature through Williams’ alter-egos, Skateboard P and Station Wagon P.

Rae Sremmund, who have a lot to be thankful for to Mike WiLL Made-It, appear on the project. They shine bright on the standout ‘Perfect Pint’, alongside Kendrick and Gucci Mane. But the true plaudits need to go to Eearz, who gave the most introspective number ‘Emotions Unlocked’, on the project, and ensures this isn’t just about Trap. It has character, soul, and knowledge in it too.
