Only three of the 22 casualties have so far been named but authorities are currently identifying the other victims.

Children are said to be among the victims of the incident which has also left 59 people injured.

Here is all we know about the three victims who have been named:

John Atkinson

26-year-old John Atkinson was a pop fan from Radcliffe who was said to have been leaving the venue when he was targeted by the attacker.

He has been described as an “amazing young man” and a “beautiful soul” by friends who posted their condolences online.

Saffie-Rose Roussos

8-year-old Saffie-Rose Roussos died from her injuries on Monday after attending the concert with her older sister.

Saffie’s headteacher, Chris Upton, said the news was “heartbreaking” in a statement released on Tuesday, May 23.

“News of Saffie's death in this appalling attack has come as a tremendous shock to all of us and I would like to send our deepest condolences to all of her family and friends,” Upton said.

Georgina Callander

18-year-old Georgina Bethany Callander was the first victim of the attack to be named by authorities. She was an avid Ariana Grande fan who was excited to see the music star on Monday night.

She had first met Grande in 2015 and taken a photo which she excitedly tweeted before the concert.

"SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU TOMORROW,” she wrote.

Georgina, from Whittle-le-Woods, Lancashire, was killed by the blast as she left the concert.

Meanwhile, security agents have made one arrest in connection with the attack which Prime Minister, Theresa May says “stands out for its appalling, sickening cowardice.”
