Presidential candidate calls on Russia to 'hack' Clinton's email

When queried if he was urging a foreign nation to hack into the private email server of Mrs. Clinton, Trump simply directed the question to the President.

Donald Trump

According to a report by New York Times, Trump made the statement on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 while fielding questions from Journalists.

Encouraging an adversarial foreign power’s cyberspying on a secretary of state’s mail, Trump said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

When queried if he was urging a foreign nation to hack into the private email server of Mrs. Clinton, the Republican Party nominee simply dropped, “That’s up to the president. Be quiet, let the president talk to them.”

Trump’s statement is coming at a time when Russia is being accused of meddling in the U.S. presidential election as two Russian intelligence agencies have been alleged to have hacked the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers.

Meanwhile, Trump had earlier said, “I’m not going to tell Putin what to do. Why should I tell Putin what to do?"

Trump had also said that if he becomes the President, the U.S.-Russian relations will be so much better than if Clinton is elected.
