The book, which she wrote before the election, is meant to serve as a career manual for millennial mothers in the workplace.

Among other tidbits in the book, Ivanka says that she makes sure to schedule specific time for her children. “I put real thought into coming up with ideas for memorable moments I can create with each of them,” she writes, per People.

“Right now, I play with cars with Joseph, on the floor, for 20 minutes each day. Arabella loves books, so I make a note to read at least two per day to her and plan ‘dates’ to the library. With Theodore, I commit to ensuring that I can give him two to three of his bottles each day and rock him to sleep at night.” Ivanka says she also schedules a date night with her husband, Jared Kushner, every other week.

Ivanka says that the scheduling is necessary for her busy lifestyle. “I know this sounds incredibly formulaic,” she writes, “but committing to these relationship goals with each person in my family, when there aren’t other issues that are immediately pressing, allows me to put a plan in place for those times during the year when it is more chaotic, I’m not as reflective, but I still want to keep those high-level priorities top of mind.”

Ivanka also urges women who “choose career over baby” to “be sure to consider your biological clock,” pointing out that it can take up to a year for a healthy women to conceive without reproductive assistance. However, she also has this to say: “If you choose to have a child or children early in your career, and later you decide to return to a traditional corporate setting, be prepared for the fact that you will be older than your peers at the same level.”

People aren’t exactly thrilled with her advice, and shared their thoughts on Twitter:

However, some people were in favor of Ivanka’s message and defended her:

Ivanka has canceled her book tour, citing ethical concerns (since she works in the White House) and said in a statement on her Facebook page that she will donate the unpaid portion of her advance (about $425,000) to the Ivanka M. Trump Charitable Fund, noting that The National Urban League and Boys & Girls Clubs of America are slated to receive the first donations of $100,000 each.
