Naturally, some of the results end up online—and photos of the latest K-beauty experiment have gone viral.

On Reddit, where user ZeApollo posted a before and after photo of their friend in a foaming face mask.

In one shot, the mask is bubbling slightly under the caption

“I am a cloud.” In the next, she looks like a Muppet with the caption, “It won’t stop.” In a comment, ZeApollo says the pictures are from her friend Instagrammer Emma Victoria Tallerud, who also posted them on social.

But…what the heck is going on here?! The mask seems to be the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, which is featured on a bunch of hilarious YouTube videos. One beauty vlogger compared the texture to “snot” and cracked up as it expanded.

Beauty vlogger Tati says it tingles pretty soon after you put it on. “It makes me feel like there are ants on my face,” she said, before laughing at her puffy appearance afterward.

The Elizavecca website is in Korean, but according to the mask’s description on Amazon, it’s supposed to exfoliate your skin and help remove blackheads. (It’s also apparently good for detoxing.)

To use it, simply slather it on your dry face, wait for it to puff up, and then wash it off.

The Milky Piggy mask is currently $11 on Amazon and everyone who has tried it and posted a video about it online seems pretty entertained by it.

Makeup artist Amy Chin also swears by it, telling Womens Health that it always makes her skin feel "supple, plumped, and hydrated." Sounds like a winner!
