Ivanka Trump appears to be on the hunt for a new go-to workout class after moving to Washington D.C. But the first daughter's desire to sweat is now igniting controversy.

Last week, Trump allegedly signed up for and attended a Solidcore class (a D.C. workout hotspot) using a fake name, according to the owner of the location, Anne Mahlum. But after Mahlum discovered the true identity of this "surprise guest," she wasn't pleased.

“While I don’t know her and I always seek to understand … I do know her father is threatening the rights of many of my beloved clients and coaches,” Mahlum wrote on her Facebook page. “As a business owner, I take my responsibility to protect and fight for my people very seriously.” She also said she reached out to Ms. Trump’s team to ask for a meeting.

While some supported Mahlum for "protecting" her clients, others on social media criticized Mahlum for being "intolerant" of the Trumps (as seen in the comments on her post, which were shared on Twitter).

But in a follow-up statement to the press that was shared on Twitter, Mahlum cited Ivanka’s role in President Trump’s controversial campaign as the reason for her objection to her new client.

“I am extremely proud of the inclusive community at [Solidcore] that protects everyone’s age, race, religion, sexual orientation or otherwise, and it is my key priority to protect that community,” Mahlum said.

She added that she hopes to have a discussion with Ivanka about these issues.

The original posts have since been removed from Mahlum's account, according to CNBC.

No word yet on whether Ivanka will take her new trainer up on the offer of a talk. The first daughter has yet to comment on the incident.
