The Trump administration on Wednesday removed a policy put in place by the Obama administration that allowed transgender students to use public school bathrooms and locker rooms that corresponded to their gender identity. Naturally, celebs—including long-time Republican and transgender advocate, Caitlyn Jenner—are getting vocal about the issue.

Caitlyn called the policy “a disaster.” “Well @realDonaldTrump, from one Republican to another, this is a disaster,” she wrote on Twitter. “You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me. Well @realDonaldTrump, from one Republican to another, this is a disaster. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me."

Last summer, Caitlyn praised Trump for his stance on women’s rights and LGBTQ issues, calling him an advocate. “Trump seems to be very much for women,” she said in an interview with Stat. “He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue. He backed the LGBT community.” Caitlyn has also said that Trump personally told her she could use whatever bathroom she wanted in Trump Tower—an offer she not only took him up on but documented on Facebook. Caitlyn even attended Trump's inauguration.

It should be noted that while Trump initially criticized the controversial North Carolina law, which requires people to use the bathroom corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate, he quickly walked back his statements and said that kind of decision should be left up to states and local communities, according to CBS News.

Caitlyn then reached out directly to kids affected by the issue on social media. “I have a message for the trans kids of America: You’re winning. I know it doesn’t feel like it today or every day, but you’re winning,” Jenner said in an Instagram video. “Very soon, we will win full freedom nation-wide and it’s going to be with bipartisan support. You can help by checking out the National Center for Transgender Equality and letting Washington hear you loud and clear.”
