So far in 2017, we've been seeing some seriously badass hair transformations—edgy cuts, radical dye jobs, and bold new looks are popping up everywhere. The latest to join the ranks of celebs with a fresh new 'do is Demi Lovato, who debuted a cute crop over the weekend.

At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Sunday, the singer, activist, and mental health advocate stepped out with a freshly shorn look that has us feeling major summer vibes.

Paired with a coral jumpsuit, Lovato and her beach-y lob look ready for a sunny new season (although neither of those looks lasted long, as she was "slimed" minutes upon stepping on-stage).

In advance of the transformation, Lovato's mane man César DeLeön, shared a snap of Lovato's freshly cut ends with the caption "the BIG chop."

For real—Lovato has been rocking long locks as of late and it looks like she lost several inches for the new 'do.

Lovato's not the only one debuting a lighter look for spring. Earlier this month, Katy Perry debuted a perfectly edgy pixie and last week, Kristen Stewart stepped out with what's perhaps the boldest look of 2017 so far, rocking a totally badass bleach blonde buzz cut.

It seems like in 2017, less (hair) is more!
