Kim Kardashian is selling a prayer candle—Here's why people are SERIOUSLY angry about it
Kim sent out a series of tweets on Thursday announcing new merchandise in her online store—including a prayer candle with an image of Kim as the Virgin Mary.
Reactions were swift, with people angry that she was inserting her face into the likeness of a sacred Christian figure:

But some fans defended Kim:
This isn’t the first time a celebrity’s face has been swapped for that of the Virgin Mary—there are whole Etsy stores devoted to selling candles depicting pop culture icons as saints (think Ryan Gosling, Drake, and Cher). But typically those are created by fans, not the celebrity themselves. So...there's that.
The “Kim Candle,” as it's called on the Kimoji website retails for $18. You know, just FYI.
