“I wanted to create the photo for her because I'm a mum myself and I can't imagine life without my daughter, ” the wedding photographer said.

The photos were posted by Ashley on her official Facebook page with a heartfelt note attached to it.

"Finally get to share one of the most beautiful and difficult pictures I've ever been asked to do. This is my wonderful friend Amanda during her bridals. She wanted so badly for her precious Azalee to be there with us. Azalee's battle with childhood cancer ended 2 years ago...she went to heaven before her mommy met the most wonderful man named Chip. Heartbroken that her girl wouldn't be here to experience this new journey with her,Amanda asked me to please incorporate Azalee into the pics somehow. This is what I came up with and I couldn't be more pleased. It was such an honor to be able to do this for her and I'm so thankful God has given me a talent that I can use to make broken hearts just a tad less broken. Azalee Mae Carroll Crowe. 6.10.2007 -11.17.2013. #prayersforAzalee", she wrote.

Azalee was diagnosed with stage five neuroblastoma, the most aggressive child cancer, the day before her fifth birthday.

“Azalee fought her battle against cancer with such grace and true faith in God, ” the bride said.

The little girl died in 2013, two years before her mum met her new husband, Chip.

During the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom released butterflies in memory of little Azalee. One butterfly in particular reduced the audience to tears when it landed on Amanda’s dress.

“We all know it was Azalee, just a little whisper from her and God saying 'congratulations' and letting everyone know she was nearby to help her mummy cross over into her new path of life.”
