A couple's iconic wedding photo has gone viral as the photographer behind the shots search for the identities of the couple all over social media.

The newlywed bride and groom from Sydney, Australia, were captured by a photographer, Sam Yeldham, in a loving embrace as heavy rain clouds broke behind them while standing on a place called Bradley's Head.

The couple identified as Chris Galvin and Jessica Pearson were later tracked down by friends and family who had seen the iconic wedding photo when it went viral.

"Our phones suddenly went crazy!"

"It was the last thing we were expecting," Galvin told Daily Mail Australia while honeymooning in Hawaii.

Yeldham, a time-lapse photography enthusiast, said he was practicing his hobby, trying to capture a time-lapse of the dark storm clouds spattered across the harbor, when he spotted the couple standing on Bradley's Head.

The 'accidental' snaps have been called the 'best wedding photo of the year' by social media users since they went viral.
