Bizarre wedding ceremony of 2 dogs attracts over 5000 people to watch

Two dogs were made two exchange vows in the presence of over 5000 people who gathered to offer their best wishes to the animals in the village of Pawara in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The groom named Shagun was bathed and dressed in black trousers, a pink top and adorned with flowers before taken to the wedding venue by his owner Basant Tripathy.

The bride Shaguniya wore fur as they exchanged garlands on a podium and wedded according to traditional Hindu ceremony. The dogs were cheered by the crowd as the ceremony progressed.

“I raised her like my own daughter. Today, I am giving her hand in marriage to Shagun. I wish the couple a happy married life together”, Shaguniya’s owner, Jung told Daily Mail.

The bride departed the wedding venue in a car with the groom after the rites had been completed.
