Known as one of music's most influential couples, the pair tied the knot on April 4, 2008 in a secret ceremony in the presence of very close friends and family members.

It is clear to see that the couple have empowered each other since they got married, Mr. and Mrs. Cater have taken home more than 25 Grammy awards combined and have raked in more than $790 million on stage together than as individuals.
"He's taught me so much about being an artist, not a musician, but an artist and fighting for what I believe and having my standards," Beyoncé said in her 2013 Life Is But a Dream documentary.
The superstar mother-of-one also spoke on why the number ‘four’ holds much significance to her and her lovely family.
"[4 has been] my favorite number since I was a kid, It's the number of my birthday, September 4, my mother's birthday, January 4, my husband's birthday, December 4 [and] it's the anniversary of my wedding," she explained in her Year of 4 feature.

After eight years together, the world has watched Beyoncé and Jay Z grow in love, commitment and plenty of PDAs on and off stage.
