A man has reportedly been freed after spending 15 years in jail as his brother has confessed to the crimes in a suicide note.

Floyd Bledsoe, at age 39 was convicted of first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and indecent liberties with his sister in law who had been 14 years of age at that time, in 2000.

Camille Arfmann had reportedly been found with four gunshot wounds under a pile of rubbish.

Tom Bledsoe, 41, had back then confessed to killing Arfmann even before her body had been found but later changed his statement, claiming that his brother had committed the crimes, blackmailing Floyd into taking the blame.

NBC reports that Floyd had been found guilty, and sentenced to life imprisonment but in November 2015, his brother, Tom had committed suicide, leaving behind a suicide note in which he confessed to the crimes Floyd was serving time for.

Tom had written in one note, simply: "I had sex with her and killed her".

A second note read: "Floyd is innocent."

The third reportedly gave important details concerning the murder that were so convincing, investigators simply concluded that only the killer himself could have had all that information.

According to the reports, in one of the letters, Tom wrote: "I found out she is 14 and I freaked out."
