1. Don't keep asking for 'spice' or 'pepper', a common habit with Nigerian tourists, give the spice a break and try out new dishes. Also, don't complain about the food portions, or taste for that matter. You're in a new country, so keep an open mind and try out new dishes.
2. Do understand the dressing style of your host country. If you're going to Dubai for instance, remember to dress conservative lest you attract the wrong type of attention to yourself.
3. Don't keep asking for prices in naira or converting everything back to naira. Asking is just plain annoying and since the exchange rates are not the best right now, save yourself the stress and heart break by allocating a reasonable budget to everything and quit converting everything back to naira.
4. Do make an attempt to speak the local language. Don't just go straight to speaking English, learn how to say hello in the local language and proceed with that.
5. Don't mock the customs and traditions of your host country. Even if you don't understand them, or don't agree with them, don't be condescending.
