Condé Nast Traveler recently released its 2015 Readers' Choice Awards on hotels and the best turned out to be none other than Singita Grumeti located in Tanzania right here in Africa.
The annual set of rankings are based on surveys of thousands of experienced travelers.
Singita Grumeti is made up of the Singita Sasakwa Lodge, the Singita Sabora Tented Camp, the Singita Faru Faru Lodge, the Singita Serengeti House, and Singita Explore which sit adjacent to the Serengeti National Park.
Singita Grumeti is not new to this title though, in 2012, it was named the best hotel in the world by travel website, Travel + Leisure for the second year in a row.
Serengeti National Park is a migratory route traversed annually by more than a million wildebeest, and the Singita Grumeti is located adjacent to it.
Hotel guests are thus afforded with incredible photo opportunities from their bedroom windows.
The lodges offer everything from cottage suites and villas with plunge pools to luxury tents and a private moving camp.
Singita Grumeti was however not the only African hotel on the countdown, Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat, South Africa and The Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Tanzania were also in the top 15.
