The ongoing unrest in the Middle East continues to deal blows on the tourism industry.

In the last couple of years, tourism around the world has boomed, with international airports seeing much more tourists than ever before.

In the midst of the boom however, the ongoing unrest in the Middle East and other regions have also dealt a blow on the tourism industry.

Cities that once thrived as tourist havens now come with warnings attached to them and while travel continues to hold appeal for many, it's important to note areas that are unsafe due to one reason or another.

The United Kingdom Foreign Office recently released a list of unsafe countries for its citizens.
