FRSC arrests 27 offenders in Onitsha
27 traffic offenders have been arrested by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Onitsha, Anambra state.
According to the FRSC commander, Paulinus Akpotobo, they were arrested for various offences including seat belt violation, over-loading, bribing officials, more.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Unit commander said the offenders were taken to a mobile court, along the Awka-Onitsha section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
There, Akpotobo said the offenders were tried on a 35-charge, including number plate violation, windscreen violation, caution sign violation, tyre use violation and road obstruction violation.
Afterwards, the offenders were convicted, including two others, who were found guilty of driving with forged documents.
He also urged motorists to obey traffic rules, and avoid bribing traffic officials.
